There are a variety of measurements in which an angle can be measured, with degrees being one of the possibilities. Before using the calculator to determine the the trigonometric ratios of angles in degrees, you need to ensure that the calculator is set to use the right units.
Make sure that it is your calculator is making use of the correct system of angle measurement prior to using trigonometric ratios.

after you have entered the angle - there is absolutely no requirement to close your bracket. If you're using these ratios to aid in a larger calculation that you want to calculate, you'll have to be sure to close the bracket by yourself (by press
) prior to entering the remaining calculation.
